I am Charlene Marsh and I am excited to join the Higher Education Department for the Seminole Tribe of Florida. I currently serve as the Higher Education Academic and Career Advisor, for the Big Cypress, Immokalee, and Naples reservations. I am from the island of Jamaica and lived in the Sunshine City before I relocated to the Sunshine State over a 13 years ago.
I love working in Higher Education because it gives me the ability to provide guidance and support to persons seeking to expand their knowledge and sharpen their skillsets. There is something almost magical about igniting or reigniting someone’s desire to learn something new. I have spent the last 12 years working and developing my knowledge in Higher Education Admissions, Academic Advising and Financial Aid navigation. I have helped many people achieve their personal, professional and academic goals because this is truly my personal calling. My role is always to support and encourage a person’s success in all their educational and professional pursuits. I am eager to assist all Tribal Members and be a positive resource in their educational journey.
Charlene’s Hobbies: Exploring all things food; cooking, recipe development, using food as medicine, trying new foods and watching Food TV,.
