My name is Taishmarie Ramos Soto, and I'm the Library Assistant at the Dorothy Scott Osceola Memorial Library at the Hollywood reservation. I have my bachelor's in English Literature and Language and am striving for my Master's in Library and Information Science with the hopes of one day becoming an Archivist.
Since I can remember, the magic of books has captivated me, and I've been fascinated with the idea of working in libraries ever since. Starting in high school, I volunteered all my free time in libraries, helping where I could and keeping a book at my side while working. Libraries are more than just for housing books; they're a beacon of information and connection to knowledge and community, providing patrons access to various resources and services. I plan to continue the legacy of what libraries can do and provide the community with access to the best resources and knowledge.
When not immersed in a good book, I'm likely at the beach, looking for a new natural spring to swim through or hanging out with my two cats. I'm looking forward to engaging and serving the community in any way that I can!
