I am honored and thrilled to be the Assistant Director for The Seminole Tribe of Florida’s Education Department. It has been a long and interesting road for me since I first began my career as an educator at Ahfachkee School over 25 years ago. The students, families and colleagues that I came to know during that time taught me so much about being a teacher and living a full life. I am forever grateful for those special moments.
Since then, I have had a rich and rewarding career as a teacher, school administrator and as a student. Currently I am working toward earning a PhD in Education at Florida Atlantic University. I have an inescapable love for learning and a passion for sharing that love with students of all ages.
No matter where my career has taken me, I have had one goal that has remained steadfast. That goal was to return to the Seminole Tribe of Florida as a more experienced and knowledgeable educator, in order to show my gratitude for the support and training they provided me at the start of my career. I know how fortunate I am to be here now and to have the opportunity to once again support Seminole students as they navigate through their schooling experience. If you knew me (Miss Miceli) back in the day, or if you just so happen to be around the DSO Building in Hollywood, please stop by The Education Department on the Third Floor. I would love to get to know you.
Hobbies: Spending time with my family, playing basketball (by my rules), hiking, reading, learning new things, riding my bike, listening to podcasts, travelling, hunting for shark teeth on the beach, listening to music, and so much more...
